![]() ![]() The pressure switch is critical for operations where the flow is required to turn on and off on demand, such as taps and showers in RV's. These pumps have been upgraded and spec'd with high a quality Honeywell pressure switch which turns the pump off when the set pressure is reached. Genuine upgraded Honeywell Pressure Switch The 5 chambers means the discharge from these pumps is smooth and steady which means the pump is less likely to cycle compared to other style pumps. These are a 5 chamber diaphragm style of pump meaning they have good suction lift, can be run dry without damage, generate high flows and pressures, whilst maintaining quiet and smooth operation. Smooth, Quiet Operation with 5 Chamber Design The construction of this pumps wetted internals makes it compatible pumping many common farming pesticides and solutions. The higher flow rates from this pump make it popular for water transfer applications as well as high flow demand installations. These pumps have a larger motor and a larger pump chamber to deliver high flow rates then otherwise seen in this style of pump. ![]() These pumps have a seamless motor body and upgraded seals to ensure a long operating life in stressful environments such as outback Australia as well as marine environments around salt water for boaties. These pumps are designed for high flow applications and will produce up to 26 L/min flow rates and come with a high quality pressure switch to allow the pump to auto start and stop as the tap or nozzle is opened. Re: High flow vs.A high flow diaphragm water pump suitable for a range of applications from farming and irrigation to camping, RV's, marine plus anything else you can think up. Roxy, you have a 1969? Tells me your new Cardone came with a stamped impeller? Or no? Curious of the exact part number you purchased. Their offering for the 67/68 8-bolt design is indeed a cast impeller. The A-1 Cardone 11 bolt designed for the 69 and later 400's, appears to come with a stamped steel impeller.NOT cast. And I think that's an important distinction many here fail to realize.that a 67/68 pump is a very unique 8 bolt animal, and they redesigned them to flow better in the later years and stuck with the new design all the way into the early 80's. Just for clarification, my 400 is a 1968, but has a motor from a 1970 Firebird 400, therefore mine takes the 11 bolt water pump instead of the 8 bolt like the 67/68 400's came with. I went cheap and Amazon'd it.so God only knows if I have a warranty. Even the casting number on my Gates is the same as shown in the Napa photos:Ĭosts a little more at NAPA, but they provide lifetime warranty. The Gates impeller and pump are visually identical to this NAPA offering, which has the same part number but claims to be a "Tru Flow" brand (but is mfd by Gates). $33.20 including free shipping to my door from. My new replacement definitely has a CAST impeller. I very recently ordered one from mine (12 years of sitting idle made for a very RUSTY crusty looking stamped steel impeller) And Cardone is not the only company offering these pumps with cast impellers. I'll post a picture tomorrow of the pump I put on a GTO. Funny how many impeller shapes are out there for these pumps.
